Occidental Petroleum Pulling its project of 200 oil wells out of the City of Carson.
Congratulations to the residents of Carson, the Carousal community, the Mobil-home community, and all north and south Carson for coming together and waging this fight. It took each and every one of you who stood up against this assault on our communities.
Oxy has backed out for now. We must continue our work, as it stands future generations will have to fight this fight. Let Carson City Council know we want the same protections that Beverly Hills has put into place for their residents.
Council Places Permanent Ban on Oil Drilling
The last active oil well in the city is on the BHHS campus and must stop operating by the end of 2016.
