NOT IN OUR BACK YARDS Benzene and methane was detected in the Carousel Tract here in Carson, CA in 2008. This community was built on top of a retired oil tank farm that was improperly cleaned up. And even though Shell was found to be the responsible party, the families residing in this community have not witnessed adequate action taken by Shell to correct this problem.   Continue reading
